    Don't go here, had a referral from a emergency room visit, waited 3 months for an appointment only to have it cancelled 1 day ahead of the actual visit. Next available - 2 more months out, no consideration for the condition or the fact that they forced the reschedule. Long wait times for phone calls. Can't speak for the healthcare, never got that far but if the office is any indication I'd be very wary of going here.

    Was a patient of this practice for over 7 years. Only saw Dr. O'loughlin for procedures. Dealt with Susan Hopkins (and a nurse who showed little to no patience for questions, LaToya) for the majority of interactions. My UC condition was easily managed for 7 years until June of 2023 so little was required of the clinical staff. Had a major flare that got progressively worse through November 2023. Miserable experience trying to get any level of reasonable response time or communication from Susan Hopkins. Questions and messages in MyChart would go weeks unanswered, if at all. When a response did occur, it was not unusual for Susan to refer to a symptom that I was not having, making it further obvious she was not paying attention to my specific condition or situation. Finally, as a long time patient, I tried to schedule an appointment to see Susan rather than deal with her through MyChart in early September of 2023. I was informed that the earliest I could see her was November 17, 2023. TWO MONTHS to get an appointment when experiencing a significant challenge to a chronic condition is not a level of care that is remotely acceptable. Absolutely thrilled to be away from Susan Hopkins and with a clinical care team that actually delivers on genuine patient care and communication. Last point of note ... don't believe the responses from the practice when they say they don't have complaints about getting appointments scheduled. It's just not true. Good riddance.

    I was 10 minutes late and while I was checked in and paid my copay, the provider, Amy Pope refused to see me because she had a full schedule for the day. I guarantee I wouldve waited longer than 10 minutes for her to see me. Terrible bedside manner.

    Do not waste your time trying to get an appointment here. It took me 8 weeks to get an appointment and then they cancelled it. The lady who called me was extremely rude and got my case confused with someone elses. When I messaged this office they did not even have the decency to respond. Unacceptable health care. Also read the other reviews. Most are the same complaints.

    My husband and I I have been patients of Dr. Kohagens for at least 25 years for our colonoscopies. When my doctor sent me to him for my liver issues, I had no clue he was a liver specialist and I am so blessed to be his patient for my treatment. I saw his new PA, Amy today and I am blown away by her! She took her time to explain to me what my MRI and bloodwork showed, and was genuinely happy for me about my test results. It feels like family! It feels like we are in good hands for sure!!

Thank you for your feedback. Although I don't know the specifics of your situation I will say that long wait times to see one of our providers is an indication that they're high quality clinicians. We don't like our patients waiting months to see our providers either but the demand for our services far out paces our capacity to see patients. While we are working on this we can't hire new, high quality providers fast enough to reduce our wait times. We continue to strive for this but we haven't gotten there yet. Regarding the cancellation of your appointment we really do try to avoid that if possible. If we do have to do that we try to work patients in the best we can. Clearly that didn't happen in your case. We will review your situation with our leadership team to see where we failed. I do hope you were able to get the care you needed.

Thank you for your feedback. I apologize for the experience you had with our group. If you've been a patient of our practice for the past seven years then hopefully you realize we're not all that bad. I understand the frustration and I will share your feedback with Susan Hopkins and her nurse. Regarding scheduling the appointment we have a very high demand from our current patients and new incoming referrals. We do struggle to get some patients in to see a provider in a timely manner and we are working through plans to improve that. However, we have very high standards for the providers that we hire so it does take time to bring on enough clinicians to support the demand we have. I hope you're currently getting the care you need and we wish you the best.

Thank you for your feedback. We have researched this incident and found that you are accurate with your complaint. We have used this as an opportunity to educate our newer providers and our newer front desk staff regarding our policies about patients being late to their appointment. I would also like to point out that we did try and make this situation better afterwards by scheduling you with one of our physicians on the same day. I understand the frustration that it was not at your originally scheduled appointment time but we did try to fix the situation the best we could, and without you having to wait weeks or months for another appointment.Thanks again for your feedback.

Thank you for your feedback. Although I don't know the details of your situation it is not uncommon for patients to have long wait times to get an appointment with our practice. We have a lot of demand for our services and our providers try to be as efficient as possible with their schedules. Right now long appointment lead times is the result of having high quality providers. We don't like our patients waiting weeks for appointments either so we are working on plans to significantly increase the number of providers we have over the next few years. Regarding your other complaint, I apologize no one responded to your message. That is not typical of how we operate. Hopefully you we're able to get the care you needed.
