I met Dr. Walken several months ago as I was looking for someone to speak to my church about ways to stay mentally healthy and from the start she was warm, caring, inviting, but most of all someone you can easily talk to. With over 30 yrs as a licensed psychologist and marriage family therapist Jennifer is knowledgeable and well suited to help you put the pieces of your life back together again. Opening ones self up to a stranger can be a challenge, however with Jennifer it was so easy. I found her sincerity, empathy and ability to make me feel at ease so comforting during some of the most challenging times in my life. She is a phenomenal listener! She is very accepting of and sensitive to my feelings. She is attentive and nonjudgmental. One of her best abilities is helping me recognize my negative thought patterns and providing me with some key tools to help change that internal dialogue that tends do be so destructive to my own self. She has taught me that insight alone is not enough. There needs to be a change to make the difference. I trust that I can tell her anything without judgement. She has helped me to grow and heal. she has a deep understanding of the pressures that I have in my life as a mother of a child with a severe behavioral disability as well as two younger children and also as a working mom. I would recommend her to anyone that needs to feel listened to,understood, and empowered.

Dr. Jennifer Walken is a well respected and known Marriage and Family Therapist that I have known for over 10 years. She makes it her mission to not only enhance the lives of her patients who seek her for her expertise, but always makes time to help members in her community and those that need her. For many, even saying the word 'therapy' can be overwhelming, but I assure you she makes it an inviting process for you and your loved one(s).
