Douglas, thank you first of all for coming to our family owned Laundromat. In addition, I appreciate you taking the time to post a survey. However, we are not charging you double. That is a function of your bank due to the type of options and choices that each of our washers have to protect them from not getting charged the correct amount.I can assure you that usually within 24 hours your bank has refunded that second charge Thank you again and we look forward to seeing you in the near future

Edwin, first thank you for coming to and using our family owned laundromat. We truly appreciate every customer. In addition I appreciate you taking the time to post your experience. Our goal is to exceed your expectations, and if there is an issue, we want to know it so as to resolve it.As far as getting “double charged”, I’m assuming you must have used either a credit or debit card. Initially, your card will get charged twice. This is due to the fact the features on these washers a customer has the capability to add extra wash, extra rinse, which do have an additional charge associated. The technology of this program actually gets communicated to the banking institution. Whatever bank your associated with then “reads” the fact other charges could be added at any time during the wash, so then your bank then charges althea fee initially so as to cover any potential added wash features. It does this so as to prevent any possible vendor charge backs and other processing fees.Once that wash is completed, the computer program communicates back to your bank and your bank credits back the additional charge. You should see your bank credit it back within 24 hours or less. As a business owner, I understand why the banks do this, but personally I don’t really care this safe guard for the exact reason that you experienced, as it comes across the wrong way as if we are changing the customer double, and actually it’s the customers bank doing so. I use my debit/credit card there myself and it happens to me as well.Please double check your card online and you will see, again usually within 24 hours, depending on the day & time of when the washer was used. I know it’s confusing but unfortunately the credit card companies and the banks have gotten “burned” enough times on things like this that they have collaborated with the wash industry (and others) to put this safe guard in place. It you will, let me know or describe which attendant was on duty when visited, that way I can re-address this with her.Also if you don’t see the credit post, please come see me or the store manager.Thank you again Suds & Duds Laundromat

Randy, I’m the owner and I’d like to know when this occurred and who the attendant was the night this occurred. I will definitely address this.
