Four Points by Sheraton Raleigh Arena

This hotel sucks. Drove 6 hours here just to show up and be told they didn't have a room for me. I had reserved a 2 queen room for 3 people a month previous and now they're telling me they didn't have a room for my family. Had to call Marriot twice about the problem and was told by Marriot customer care that since this hotel didn't have the room I reserved, that were required to book me into another hotel close by until they could provide me with the room I had booked. They front desk guy at this hotel refused to do that. Then another guy working here tried to give us a handicapped room with one king bed and no couch for 3 people. Def wasn't going to work. I ended up going outside and called a close by Hilton to reserve a room and right after I booked a new room, a third guy from this hotel came outside and said he had found me a room and took me to a 2 queen room like the one I had reserved. Said the room was marked "VP" which ment it was not ready, but I didn't see any problems with it. So after wasting over an hour and 2 calls to marriot customer care and one to a close by Hilton. We finally got a room. Ended up talking to the general manager of this hotel and found out the reason we got screwed around was because someone is supposed to follow up behind the cleaning crew when they clean the rooms and inspect it and mark it as ready and that person never did that with the room so it was never marked ready even though it had been cleaned and was ready for someone. Place smelled like smoke in the rooms and twice I smelled weed in the hallways. Also do not stay here if there is an event at the nearby arena because people will fill up this parking lot going to the arena and this hotel will do nothing about it and leave you without a parking space or having to pay the restaurant next door to park to get to your hotel room.

Room and hotel were very clean. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast is delicious. We really enjoyed our stay. Will definitely stay here anytime we visit Raleigh.

We Love this Hotel and Stay here whenever we are in Town !! Great Staff and Wonderfully appointed and Very Spacious Rooms !!
