Malaika is always amazing. She keeps my dreads healthy and growing. The shop has an Afrocentric store in the front area. Wonderful merchandise. The juice bar is an added bonus and they have sea moss!!! Each service is worth the trip separately. The three is an amazing bonus!!!

I called BLC and spoke to a stylist around 2:00 pm for a walk-in retwist I have to take passport photos to renew my passport and my hairs a mess and Im leaving for DC from NC in the dead of night. She said she could fit me in around 7:30. I call about 3 times at 7:40, on my way there and nobody answers the phone. Some random guy tells me she cant get to me and I dont even get the chance to speak with the stylist herself. Mind you its like 7:45 and the doors are locked although the site says they close at 9. Horrible experience.

Had my son's hair braided for the first time at BLC Gallery. He loved the results and so did his dad and I. We'll be going back to get my girls' hair done next.
