Strange to leave a review for a Dentist i didnt go to but they deserve it! Was needing amalgam fillings replaced and researched holistic Dentists using the SMART protocol. Tracey Hurst, their patient concierge was so helpful and friendly navigating my concerns and insurance. Ended up going with my longtime dentist for a variety of reasons, but I felt I would have been in good hands with this practice.

I am not one to write reviews, but I have been going to Cameron Village Dentistry for about 3 years, and have truly loved my experience with the dentist and hygienists, up until my last visit. I do want to add that the front desk has always pleasant and friendly. After my last experience here, I will be looking for a new dentist. The whole experience felt predatory, and not helpful. I felt very pressured into getting Invisalign, which is completely unnecessary for my teeth. I was very uncomfortable throughout my visit here with comments and questions from the new hygienist and dentist. The dentist showed me my teeth on a TV and quite literally pointed out every flaw that he could see. It was truly bizarre and I have never experienced anything like this at a dental office before. It feels like they are now more interested in cosmetic dentistry, rather than dental health. If you are looking for a dentist office to get your cleanings and trusted, necessary medical advice, this is not the place for you!

I have been a patient of this office for years. As of the most recent years, the overall quality of service at this office has declined tremendously. I have felt so pressured and judged when standing by my decision to decline xrays. One of the ladies asked me why I didn't want to get an xray done, another mentioned "there is more radiation on cell phone than it is on our devices"..I feel that comments as such have an underlying persuasive motive, which I feel is insensitive to my decision to decline. I drive almost 2hrs to get holistic dental care and had two appointments scheduled, one for myself and one for my daughter. We arrive and get ready to get started on the appointment and the young lady says we will need to get xrays done today. I let her know that I have a waiver on file showing that I always decline xrays. I wait until she eventually sees the file that has my signature on it showing my preference to decline. She tells me it is mandatory for this visit. I tell her that I would like to get our cleanings done as usual without the xrays. She goes and speaks to Jessy Shuster, who then comes into the room stating that she spoke with me in our last appointment and told me that I could not be seen without getting an xray done. I told her that I dont recall speaking to her (staff has changed SO MANY times recently) I told her that there has to be miscommunication because I was never told that it was mandated for me to get an xray for this appointment. Instead of her providing excellent customer service, our interaction was not pleasant, it was more of back and forth- on her end saying "I told you this" and my end saying "we didn't have this conversation with the details you are mentioning"- I asked if she could please pull up the communication log, which I am aware they take notes for keeping up with correspondence. I asked her is there ANY communication stating that I was informed that I would HAVE to agree to an xray for my next visit, or that policy states that I can be refused services, she was not able to confirm this is communicated to me. (except from her own memory) I do understand that they do have the right to refuse and make new rules, however, good customer service would consist of apologizing for the misunderstanding and allowing us to get our cleaning after driving so far to get service. In my frustration to how I was being approached and spoken to without pleasant resolve, I made a decision right then and there to ask about removing us from this office and services. This office is not doing a great job maintaining the good rapport from previous years with different management. Everything should be documented to avoid confusion. Communication is KEY. There was no attempt to resolve or make sense of the insensitivity I experienced. Like other recent reviews, I agree that this office is not what is used to be. I will never return, not because of new policies, but because of how I was pressured, judged, and treated because of exercising my freedom of choice. I hope this office and management will evaluate not only my review but also all other reviews to see what you are doing wrong, how people are being treated- we are the ones who are helping support your practice- desiring quality care that is deserving to ALL. I should have felt respected in my decision, but I leave feeling the complete opposite. I wanted to share this review to help others in their decision for choosing this office. If you don't agree with their recommendations, you more than likely will get so pressured until you are forced to do it or judged for not doing it. Either way, you deserve the best care and support in your holistic journey, opinions set aside. Truly disappointed, but relieved to move on to find another dentist office that can better support me and my family. I hope the team makes adjustments to improve in service, because that is what makes a business thrive.

We appreciate your feedback and apologize if the delivery of our policies came across in an unprofessional manner. Patients always have full autonomy and we respect your decision to go elsewhere since our views on preventative treatment do not align. Please reach out directly if you would like to discuss further.
