I really hit the jackpot with this therapy location. They've been super healthy through any kinds of miscommunication I've had, or any troubles through scheduling or therapy. Which is honestly one of the first things that drew me into these therapy sessions. And once I started going, I was hooked. I got lucky with my therapist on my first real attempt, and really had a connection with her. This isn't my first time in therapy. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, I've had about 5 or 6 therapists throughout my years. We never quite... clicked? Either I felt like I was on a different wavelength than them, or I felt like we were speaking in two completely different languages. It was odd, and honestly pretty demoralizing. Like I wouldn't be able to find the hip that all of us reading and writing reviews so dearly deserve. I was slow to trust and slow to share with my therapist at first, but after a while and given proper room to open up and talk, I felt like I really connected with her and was able to communicate much more openly than I have been able to before. Shine Chauhan has been a fantastic therapist and really allows me to speak my mind and heart. I don't feel like I need to fit into some sort of box when I talk to her, and I'm not worried about being judged from an outside point of view. She's professional and patient, and knows when to give a little bit of distance in our talks, which admittedly I need every now and again. I can't say that every therapist is going to be the correct one for you. We're all such complex and amazing people, and we're bound to find some people we don't mesh well with before we find a proper solution. But I can say that Thriveworks definitely does seem to care, and while I haven't tried any of their other therapists, I know my therapist does. So why 4 stars? Why not 5? My experience with Thriveworks has been fantastic. From scheduling, to talking, to payment options and insurance coverage. It's been fantastic to me. Due to it being such a great experience, I recommended two loved ones to Thriveworks and therapy with them. While one had an overall positive experience, the other went through a mess of insurance and payment walls. I'll be honest, when they told me about that I couldn't believe it, everything had gone so smoothly for me. I guess I'll have to say your mileage MAY vary. This is my review though, so I try not to let it affect my score TOO much. I would still recommend them again in a heartbeat!
