First time using a local architect for a home renovation project, so I will take some blame in not asking some of the relevant questions. Two employees came out initially and we walked through the house together. They never went over their pricing with us, and never asked if we wanted to proceed, but took measurements of the house and started putting plans together. It seemed reasonable, so we proceeded. As we sorted through drafts of the project design, there were several points of miscommunication. By the end of the process, we discovered they charged us for the designs of the heated and unheated square footage of the house. This may be common practice, but we were never told about it, and the total price was much higher than we were expecting. The final designs look great, but the lack of details up front from them left a negative impression on us, unfortunately.

We loved working with Kent and his team. They helped us navigate through the design and construction processes of building our home, assisted on changes easily, and were friendly. We received their recommendation from family and friends and are happy to continue to highly recommend their services! We will come back to him when we finish out our upstairs!
