Air Experts came out when our heat stopped working. They determined we had a bad blower motor and three damper motors that didnt work at all. We could have replaced those or bought a new system. Based on the age of our system we decided to replace it. There was a misunderstanding during the contract negotiations and we thought the faulty damper motors would be replaced too along with their associated electronic control boards and thermostats. We were pretty upset when that wasnt the case, because who would agree to fix only half the problem? Air Experts came out and made it right by replacing all the damper motors, control zoning boards and thermostats. I was impressed by their management of the problem and how quickly it was resolved. I would recommend Air Experts for HVAC service and equipment needs. Make sure you get a line item contract though so you understand what youre getting.

I don't often write reviews... but I feel severely cheated with how much this company charges to replace parts. Do yourself a favor and look up the cost for each part that they want to install. Here is a breakdown of what I was quoted: Heat Strip Kit - $747 installed (this is $130 part online - 15 min install) Single Speed Compressor - $3228 (this is a $1100 part online) Contactor - $230 (this is a $16 online - 10 min install) iWave-R ionizer - $1423 (this is $375 online - 10 min install) UV Germicidal lam and bulb - $706 ($70 online - 15 min install) I was dumb and agreed to them replacing my heat strip and contactor - but the others I opted out of. I asked them to give me the old parts instead of discarding them. It was only after I looked up the old parts did I learn how I was cheated. On the heat strip, only a tiny part was broken - but they replaced the entire unit. The tiny part I found online for $10. The contactor I was shocked to find is only $16 dollars and can easily be replaced yourself. Worse is that I tested the old contactor with an electrical engineering friend of mind and the old they took out works flawlessly... so it didn't even need to be replaced. The tech said it should be replaced because it had some black residue on it which appeard to be burn marks... but literally it wiped right off and the thing looks new and shiny. The tech also broke the handle to my attic door because he didn't know how to first unlock it before he yanked on the handle. This wouldn't be a problem if the company actually called me back like they said to make it right. I'm sick of getting cheated because these hvac maintenance companies really are a bunch of salesmen and prey on the ignorance of folks to know what actually needs repair and what things really cost. It's worse than the car repair industry in my mind. Is there an honest company actually out there? If so, can someone please let me know.
