        Very professional service, by far the best in the High Country. We have used a couple other services in the past but we using Tristan's Chimney Service from now on. Their thoroughness gives me peace of mind about using our wood stove safely.

        I contacted Tristan's to get a quote/2nd opinion for installing a chimney liner for a wood stove. The techs that came to my home were very respectful and professional, but I would have appreciated better communication from the office about what goes into a quote for an installation. I was not made aware of a charge for this service (or the requirement for a "level 2" chimney inspection) until after the work was completed. The charge was $300 for the inspection, which is quite steep in my opinion. I made them aware of my dissatisfaction of this at the time of service, and they reduced the price to $180. They came to my property on June 30th, and said they would have a quote and inspection report within 5 business days. I just received the quote today, 7/27/21, almost a month later and after contacting them twice. I am extremely dissatisfied with this service, lack of communication of cost, and the time it took to receive my quote. I have requested a refund, which they have denied at this time. I recognize that many people have had great experiences with this company, and I am disappointed that I cannot say the same. I hope this was a one time issue, and that others don't have the same experience that I do. They should absolutely inform prospective clients of the charges associated with any required services involved in quoting a repair. If I knew this information prior to to services being rendered, I would have requested the quote.
