SIXT Rent a Car Raleigh Int. Airport

It couldn't be better! Upon arrival at the airport, we were able to immediately take a shuttle bus to Sixt's location. Here Genrica and Joy received us very professionally and customer-friendly and went through the wide range of cars and prices. This made making a decision easy and we were able to get into our BMW x3. I discovered a loose rubber and went back inside to report this. They acted quickly and we eventually received the keys for an X5. The kindness, professionalism and humor of these ladies ensured that we had a good start to our holiday. We were given the VIP treatment from Kamaia! She answered every question we had and its the first time ever that we felt we were not taken advantage of!!! Give her a raise!!!

I am so thankful for the team at sixt Raleigh it was the most pleasant experience in the entire airport after trying to rent from enterprise they voided my reservation and I felt helpless but that changed as soon as I met Julie , Bri and James they took care of me as if we were family. It was my first time traveling to Raleigh and I couldnt have ask for a better experience.

Be prepared to pay extra or downgrade or "Get exactly what you reserve for." overall good experience I am a frequent flyer with rental car companies. Was told this company did start operating at RDU Sept 2023 so pretty new in the area. In my personal experience, it was good just like any other car rental company. I think reading the previous reviews helped prepare me for my reservation for the first time with Sixt. My reservation was for a compact SUV but when I got there to check in, they said the car wasnt available. they had a mid-size SUV available and a little bigger SUV. One would cost an additional $20 and the other one $10. That being said, if your reservation per day was $40, then adding $20, your cost per day becomes $60 not $40 anymore. You pay more for bigger options. Example of the cost $40 X 3 days = 120 $60 x 3 days = 180. $60 difference. I ended up asking for the option that wouldnt cost me extra, and they said to downgrade to a sedan. Since I am a frequent car renter, I was okay with it so that I could stay on budget and pay only what my reservation said. I wasnt a fan of this system either. Usually, other car rental companies if they dont have the car I reserved, will give me a bigger, midsize, or sedan without any additional cost. Another thing I wasnt a fan of is you dont go on the lot to pick up the car yourself at this RDU Sixt location not sure if their other locations do the same. They show the car to you on the screen when you are checking in, then you wait outside and the staff will drive the car near the pick-up area and you pick it up. Some people may like this but my personal preference is to choose my car from the lot myself. Almost all of their cars are European, latest cars 2023ish to 2024 from what I saw when I was waiting for my rental at rdu airport. That being said, if you dont have the latest iPhone with the universal charger (USB type C), you may need to get a Usb C adapter from Amazon to connect to the Usb type C to charge your iPhone. Otherwise, you are stuck when it comes to charging your old iPhone. If you own Samsung you will be fine. I have attached the picture and video of the adapter. The staff that helped me was friendly enough just like any other rental car company. Since I am a frequent car renter. usually, I know things to decline and to add to my rentals. We always have the option to listen to what they have to say and then politely decline any unnecessary additional cost to help stay on budget and not overcharge you.

Service was great and Ina was amazing ! Definitely recommend SIXT over any other car rental spots.
