We purchased the business from the previous owners and we are now called Rare Rides Company. Regarding the concerns raised, all the vehicles are sold 'as-is,' and we consistently encourage pre-purchase inspections to ensure transparency and allow buyers to make informed decisions. This particular El Camino was never advertised as being fully restored or in perfect condition. In their listing, they explicitly described the body condition of the El Camino, highlighting imperfections in the bodywork, saying new floors had been welded in and some waviness along the sides. Here's the description of the body - "though there are some imperfections in the body work. It is a little wavy down the side, however the underside is surprisingly clean, which is quite a feat for a car like this that doesn't appear to have ever received a full restoration. New floor pans have been installed in the past..."The description aimed to provide an accurate representation of the vehicle's condition, emphasizing its suitability for enthusiasts ready to enjoy a well-driven classic, rather than a pristine showpiece.We haven't received any communication from the buyer following the purchase that was nearly 2 years ago in March of '22, and we regret any disappointment experienced post-sale. While we empathize with your frustrations, it's essential to reiterate that the information about the vehicle's condition was transparently disclosed in their listing.We take all feedback seriously and continuously strive to improve our services.
