I have changed my rating from 5 star to 1 star after discovering all the hidden issues after living here for 3 years. Some really big issues that are the manufacturers fault. Shult homes is the builder. 1st choice is the General Contractor. Both have major issues. The attic insulation is reading at 9 inch depth (R 28 )after move in. But it was placed at 14 inches specified to be R38. The General Contractor who installed the home moved the blown in insulation to the sides to do work on my attic but never replaced it to its original position. They left a large square area of the attic at this lower depth which affected the insulating properties of my home and I have experienced larger than normal heating and cooling bills for the past three years. This has cost me a lot of money over the three years. Also I will have to hire a new contractor to fix the insulation to be at a consistent depth across the entire square area of the attic ceiling in order to have the required insulation properties of the home Also I have two major leaks from the bottom of the refrigerator that came with the home. one from the water valve and one from the drain hose. I have had to fix these issues. This leak was noticed within one month from move in.
