This place is a joke.
I came to work for this company mainly the managing partner if you can call it that. Come in on salary and was with them from June 26 of 23 to 11/8/23. This place is a train wreck no jobs finished to plan halfway doing the work and a lack of accountability and a heavy presence of entitlement from the managing partner (loose term). Erosion not taken care of things done half way and if you really want the scoop contact bowman development and see what kind of shape they left him in. Run run run do not I repeat do not use centerline contractors developers beware. If you want a good product that is built to plan and not just winged to suit the grade company stay far away from this place. Lots built up or taken down to suit haul off. Changed on the fly and a general sense of we dont have to do it right well get it passed. I personally know of once we were on the verge of having building permits pulled due to not doing erosion and once they were suspended. This is not an isolated thing with this company I was warned shortly after I took the job and it became evident that it was no exaggeration in about 2 months. Do what you will with this info but do your do diligence when making this decision. Please. Its hard enough now days to make your company work without someone else working against you to suit there own needs. They will pull off of your jobs and go to others and leave you hanging for days at a time and sometimes longer. Just do your research before working with this place. I worked for this man sick as a salary employee and he changed my hours worked to PTO time worked usually 45 hrs a week and when I said something he didnt like I was fired it was a true statement that the pipe crews didnt have the tools needed. That was on a Wednesday and instead of doing the right thing and just paying my salary he cut it back. Chris Helms is a washed out rental agent that fell in some rich mans pocket and would be a better fit cleaning out houses in 90 degree heat in the desert than trying to run a grading company. Good luck to the partners theyre gonna need it. And what ever you do dont work for him. He knows as much about the grading industry and how to do the work as I know about flying a spaceship. I really and truly cant even begin to imagine what his partner was thinking when going into this venture with him. Who in their right mind puts an end wall 10 feet in the ground with a sheer wall in a known area of people walking around at night with no barriers around it. There is an 18 foot sheer wall right now on one job. He is a lawsuit looking for a place to happen. Got mad and told me to send the pipe crew home because they refused to go inside an 18 pipe that was 9 in the ground. No tripod or way of retrieving anyone even if they could have done it. This place has turned me against this profession after 25 yrs of doing this work I am done for a while anyway. The stress this place puts on you is no where near the pay and or benefit witch is little I might add.
