Novant Health Wound Care - Matthews

This wound care center is horrible. They have repeatedly sent my son home with infected wounds. The office manager Marc takes it upon himself to cancel my sons scheduled appointments knowing his life depends on them. I feel some of his actions are discriminatory. Such as him canceling my sons 8am visit and still taking other patients that day. No one elses visit was cancelled and his reasoning was they were short staffed. How could they still take appointments after he was the first patient that day if they were short staffed. I feel the rest is due to the fact that they dont want people to be passionate about their loved ones care. I guess were supposed to allow them to give mediocre care but thats not what they are paid to give. I started I was contacting my attorney and beginning a file on my sons care from the wound clinic and told my son to video his visit so I would know how to care for his wounds and Marc flew out of his office and approached me about what my son was doing in his phone, I told him to go ahead because I was leaving the office to wait downstairs for my son and he contacted public safety on me lol. What they need is a new office manager and a staff that understands some people do care about their loved ones.

This was my first time visiting this office. I called last week to make an appt with a referral from my primary doctor. The process was very easy and got in within 5 days. This morning was my appt, check in was easy and Brittney front desk coordinator was really nice and upbeat. The nurse Lin was very informative about my wound and explained everything in detail. Holly the FNP was who I saw today. She was amazing! She was kind, informative and explained everything. I really felt that the care was top notch and looking forward to working with this group to get my wound healed!!

Just trying to get an appointment, the lady that answer the phone; rude, uncaring of the population she serves!! I have an open wound, you have to wait for 5 days!! No one is gong to die for not having the supplies for an open wound She should go work for a fast food restaurant!!

My husband was a patient at wound care for several months and was very pleased with the treatments and all staff. FNP Holly H.
