The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. It is pet friendly for a fee, which is nice so that we could bring our dog. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food and service were great. The servings were quite large. The hotel did seem a bit understaffed. There was soiled bedding in the hallway outside another room when we arrived and it sat there for hours. Maybe they were waiting for the cleaning staff to come in the next morning? I'm not sure. It's definitely not an upscale hotel and could use some updating. However, it was a good choice for what we needed. The price was good. We were traveling with 3 kids and a dog, they had free breakfast, a microwave and fridge in the rooms, and Disney channel, so it worked.

Just Me
Anybody stayed at Clarion hotel during Dec 25 to Dec 29 week and used Priceline or Expedia or any other third party and got charged again by Clarion Hotels themselves because I quote from Sheila, the hotel manager (supposedly) that "Priceline did not provide them with a code for the stay to charge" and they charged your credit card again??? This is ridiculous that Priceline charged me for two nights already and we find out that Clarion charged again for the same two nights. Another family we went with got charged again too. I want to know how many times that this happened to others too? It's been a week and Sheila is conveniently sick and Amber from front desk is RUDE and throws up her hand saying she cannot help (which is fine, but she is very combative on the phone. She can take a course in customer service). I was in no way raising my voice to her (exasperation is not raising my voice by the way if you're reading this AMBER). As far as the room is concerned, I wasn't expecting anything spectacular so it was fine. The elevator reeked of pets smell, but that is expected for a hotel that accepts pets. I won't be staying here again though (even without the double charged headache) as dogs were barking across the hall. I would hope that hotels that accept pets would be isolating people with pets on the first floor or at the very least ALL ON ONE FLOOR so it wouldn't disturb others without pets, but I guess that's too much to ask.
