They explained everything so I could understand what was going on with my health after I had two strokes took very good care of me.would recommend them for goof care.

I had a ruptured brain aneurysm back in 2013. The Neurology clinic I had in Hickory had been bought out by Novant Health Care of which I felt was not a good fit and I was mostly stable, though I really liked the Neurologist. When I was in need of a new Neurologist, my PCP referred me to Atrium Health Neurology in Lincolnton, NC. I saw the first, but he went to a different office. Then I was assigned to Dr. Romanowski who I really liked and did well for me and my issues. It came time to have my biannual check up and received a letter saying he was moving! Now I see Sergey A. I do apologize for not remembering how to spell his last name, but I dont use it. Sergey is a wonderful, intelligent, compassionate part of my medical team as I like to call all my doctors and NPs. In fact from the front desk check in, to the CMA taking my vitals and asking about falls, etc, its all a really good experience. To have neurological issues, this is at the top of my list - to be respected, to be listened to and not just heard, and honesty. I get this and so much more when I see these very kind and professional folks. They get that some days will be great, some good and other days neither. I just need to report honestly so Sergey can determine the best course of treatment for me. Im not easy as I really dont like taking medication so he respects that. Sometimes I have to and he explains that as well. He, nor anyone else there since I first met Dr. Romanowski have ever spoken down to me. For someone with cognitive issues that can be a bit unreliable that means a lot. Another added benefit is Sergey is willing to help my Neurosurgeon follow up with my spinal issues. Because they are both under the Atrium Health umbrella even though they are a good 60-70 miles apart, it makes it really easy for me and hopefully them as well. In fact, I was able to get my stent placed in my brain because of Sergey. Dr. Wolfe didnt need another angiogram, the MRI/A he ordered showed her everything she needed to know. Sergey can see the physicians notes from her as well which makes my patient experience much easier. I would encourage anyone who needs a Neurologist to see Sergey. Ive never actually met the one they have now so I cant speak to his patient/doctor skills.

Staff and Dr Xhihani is awesome. They are so nice. Dr Xhihani explains everything to me and is so helpful. Love him and the staff.
