My husband and I have donated so much to this thrift store, we have never had a problem and the people working there have been so nice. Until today and now we will no longer be donating items here. We have always taken our items in totes and bags and asked if we can have the totes back. Every time the employees have been so kind and said that wasn't an issue and bring a tote out and we load the stuff from my totes into theirs. Not once was I told I cannot do this, not once was I turned away, not once was I given attitude, that is, until today.. and had I been told previously this was an issue, we would have always made sure to use bags. My dad, who is visiting from out of town, was kind enough to run a couple totes of toys my kids decided to donate up while I was working. He was met by a younger guy who he said seemed as though he really didn't want to be there. As they were unloading the items, a woman came out and stated they couldn't donate in totes the items have to be in bags and they will only accept one bag at a time because they don't have the manpower to unload them, what the actual heck?! My dad offered to unload the items himself, she stated he couldn't do that. At this point my dad said "ok, fine, you can keep the tote, I'll buy my daughter a new one". My dad asked if there was a bag he could put the last three items in and the kid working there rolled his eyes and stated "I guess" as he went to get my dad a bag. My dad at this point is frustrated because he's trying to donate items that I could have easily sold and was met with such attitude. He said he got a receipt, which I'm looking at now, the woman who was filling it out asked what city I lived in and my dad couldn't remember the name of it, but came up with Bunny-level... any person from this area could figure out he meant Bunnlevel. The woman gave him attitude and said "fine, I guess I'll just fill it out the best I can." Looking at the receipt, I can tell there was attitude because she put my city with a question mark, totally unnecessary, and then the receipt legit says "4 misc"... why even write anything out at that point? It is such a shame because again, we are typically met with such kind people at this store, that is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars... but now, we will make sure we are taking our items elsewhere, I mean now I have to spend money to get a new tote because of this.
