Large room and bathroom with an exceptionally comfortable bed. A claw foot tub in the bathroom with really hot water. A heater and bathrobes in the closet were a welcome touch and a wonderful breakfast with outstanding hosts Just a short walk into Lenoir.

Absolutely phenomenal...The bed and breakfast house was stunning and the rooms were a great size. It is very close to downtown and very easy to get to. What separates this BNB from the rest is the incredible husband and wife team. We felt very comfortable from the start and it felt like we were staying with old friends. Fresh bakes goodies were available for a late night snack and the breakfast was a full course meal with eggs made to order, waffles, fresh fruit, sausage and home made bread. Cannot recommend this place enough if you are going to be in the area. Nearby activities: Great family fun center where we went bowling for an hour for only $15. Strolled main street and checked out the bakery and Dead stuff antiques. Food & drinks: We ate at Picccolos downtown....GReat food and better people. The margherita pizza and bakes spaghetti are to die for.

The Highland Thistle is a wonderful place to stay if you're visiting Lenoir or needed a place to stop and rest while traveling through. The owners are very interesting people who definitely care a lot about this town. The rooms are cozy and full of character.

Stayed the night while attending faith fest event in the area. Fist time here but will definitely be back! Karin & John were very welcoming & friendly! The room was clean and fresh. The breakfast was delicious. We were very pleased with our stay.

I had a wonderful stay at the Highland Thistle! The rooms are beautiful and so incredibly comfortable. I had the pleasure of staying in the "Writer's retreat". The bed is a dream, and the bathroom is beautiful! John and Karin are wonderful hosts, from providing a delicious breakfast, on the go snacks, and the wonderful conversations, you really can't go wrong here! It's a short and gorgeous drive to Blowing Rock and Boone! You won't be sorry you stayed at this B&B!! Rooms: I've stayed here twice now, and both rooms were inviting and the beds are so incredibly comfortable!
