I want to warn everyone about DR. Melvin Howard! He totally flipped his script when I didn't want to give my cat a microchip. He has a temper of a two year old and kicked me out of the office with no explanation Other than that I was too difficult. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to this office. I'm a very respectful person and would never speak or treat anyone the way they treated me today. Thank goodness animed hospitality is top tier. they refunded me for the over priced visit and now I'm paying like half of what he charged so I guess he did me a favor. I was shocked with his demeanor. So just be aware he doesn't have any self control and wouldn't want anyones animal to suffer because he can't hold his temper together. I understand people have bad days but he was totally out of line. the office was empty and I see why now. P.s. he was loud and obnoxious and it made my cats even more nervous. If you go you will see what I mean. They also don't let you go back with your pet during the exam. What vets office does that? Makes zero sense. If I could give zero stars I would. He was uncontrollable and I didnt even speak one word to him. I only spoke to the assistants about what my wishes were and he came through the door screaming and about to have a heartache it seemed like.

We originally loved one of the vets but the last few times we went we had a carol. I took my cat in for an injury and found out he needed surgery. Prior to this Ive been contacting other vets to get my cat seen. However, they didnt get a referral nor did they take any as I was told by Carolina forest animal vet. They receptionist has terrible bed side manner telling while getting information to schedule a surgery that the procedure will be expensive and an option for that is euthanize and his hips are trashed. My cat thats less than a year old. Hes an important member of my family so I am going to help him get fixed especially with post surgery he will function as if nothing has ever happened. Instead of being emotional from finding out my cat injury I rationalized everything. The vet called me complacent showing lack of professionalism in her trade and care for animals within her care.

We found out my Jax had cancer. Dr Howard called personally and explained, emailed me info They gave my sweet dog the absolute best care. When I was unsure about something they would take care of me that day to get what I needed to make sure my Jax was comfortable. His last day I was not able to see Dr Howard. I wanted him and his wonderful staff to help us through those last moments. But he had an emergency and although sad I understood. I was given another office he trusted and said they would take good care. I was upset and had not called yet. Then he called me cause he saw we had not got on that other offices schedule. The follow through and care they provided was so heart warming and made it easier . I have just moved here 6 months ago and feel so lucky to have found this office and know that my other dog will be in great hands. Absolutely best vet in town Thank you for making a hard situation a little easier. .
