Great service. Great people. Reasonable prices. I was very pleased with my recent service - 100k service on my Honda Odyssey. I recommend going there. Much better than the dealership.

At first, I was treated here as a member of the family. The lady at the front was so nice and seemed motherly to me. The work on my Acura seemed daunting, took about two months to complete. Understandably so; the Acura has 200k+ miles. Cost an arm and leg to do the repairs too. They had me go back to the dealership once work was complete to get a battery 'flashing' done. Four or so months after getting the car back, it stalled on the highway. I don't use the car often but with two teens now starting to drive, I have them practice using the car. Anyhoo, I called tow and had the car dropped off at the Acura Dealership. The Dealership worked on it and replaced the alternator, which had been installed by Richards team. When I picked up the car from the Acura Dealership, the tech advised that the alternator they had removed seemed pretty new and I should find out if it was warrantied so I could return it for some money back. They put the alternator in a box and gave it back to me. At that point, I remembered that Richards had talked about warranty. So I called them up to check. Well, the lady at the front was not happy I took the car to Acura. She gave me a major verbal dressing down and ended up saying they can only work on a car they warranty and can't do anything but she would call the parts place and find out if they would take the alternator back. She took down my number. I called her back a week later and man, she wailed on me again. Had quite a lot of choice words too and went as far as asking me how much I paid Acura for the repairs and how it would have cost me nothing if I had Brought the car to them. I explained, I was stranded in middle of the night, close to Acura dealership and just had the car taken there. Plus, I added, I wasn't ready to wait another 2 months for them to work on the car. Oh man, who told me to say that? She increased the volume and REALLY got cross. Needless to say, it is nearly a month and I haven't heard back from the promised phone call nor gotten a voicemail message as to whether they would take the alternator back or not; and issue some kind of compensation for it. My conclusion is that, they do good work; heck maybe even great work. They are homely and nice but the other parts (like managing customer experience) are wanting. I have read another review here about how long it took to complete work on their car. My car was there for quite long. I didn't mind because I have another car. I kept calling to remind them to get status updates. Probably something they could have managed better. And then this issue of the warrantied work/parts. I wish I didn't have to put a negative review because of that but this truly rubbed me the wrong way. All Acura did was replace what they had put in my car. That is an issue. And they won't accept responsibility to start with instead of worrying about why I went to Acura or how much I paid them. Probably won't recommend them but anyways, anyone looking to buy a 4-month-old alternator for Acura TL 2012?
