Our son is thriving with play-based learning and gets to spend a lot of time outside as well. The cherry on top (and arguably most important part of the school), the teachers are AMAZING! Would highly recommend anyone looking for preschool in the area.

This school is truly a gem that I'm so happy we came across. Our daughter has been here for 2 years and the way she has transformed is largely due to The Children's Schoolhouse. Their holistic co-parenting approach has really helped her blossom into a well-rounded little girl. The teachers there genuinely care about the students and it is such an amazing community to be a part of.  Through illnesses, new babies, or just support, the community is always willing to lend a helping hand to whoever needs it. We have two younger ones, who will for sure attend the Schoolhouse as well when of age.

This is our third year (second child) attending the schoolhouse and it's a good fit for our family. There are plenty of ways to be involved, and both kids thrived on the magic of being able to explore and discover in their own timing. Fresh fruits and vegetables are served for snack and healthy living is encouraged. Children have their whole lives to sit at a desk and learn- the schoolhouse offers a positive first school experience and social-emotional, conflict resolution, and self help skills. It's truly a magical little piece of childhood that I know my kids will love and remember for years to come.

Our oldest child started here last Fall and he has loved it. He is always excited to for school day and asks every day if it's school day. We enjoy the ability for him to learn and socialize at his own pace. He has developed great friendships with a couple of the other kids and also always has good things to say in regards to both teachers. The play based learning is something that we were wanting and it has been a good fit for us. It is a co-op so there is more expected from parents in making things run smoothly but it also fosters a more sense of family. There are many events that families get together for (we even had a beer brewing session which we later all got to enjoy!!). Overall the low key attitude and allowing the kids to learn by interacting and being exposed to new real life skills has been great and we plan to continue to enroll in the future.

We've had two children attend the Schoolhouse and it's been a wonderful experience.  The co-op is different from a normal preschool, but it helps foster community and engagement. The emergent curriculum is a relief is a sea of preschools where kids are forced to do worksheets, this is truly a play-based preschool. The kids spend TONS of time outside, rain or shine, and the playground is magnificent. There is a strong focus on the children learning independence, which I really appreciate. Teachers empower children to resolve issues and challenges themselves, which has given my children great skills that make them ready for Kindergarten socially. They have a lot of agency, which grows their confidence and is a good outlet for the "I do it myselfs". Plus, there is a focus on healthy living, as the Schoolhouse only serves fresh fruits and vegetables for snack!  Being snack-helper is one of my kids' favorite activities.  This school is a great fit for any family that wants their kids to be kids, experience true play-based learning, and spend lots of time in nature.
