Highland Commons Apartments

I've lived here for almost 2 years and have enjoyed it. Everyone is friendly and responsive. Any issues that occurred were handled in a timely and professional manner.

Nice apartment complex. The management are on top of things and they fix any issue with the apartment that you inform them of.

I applied to live here in March before i rented the home im in now. Not only was i not aware there was a shooting, in the unit i was going to move in with my 3 kids until the maintenance man let me know. BUT because of my credit i was going to be charged a double deposit, which all fine and well and good. I made the property manager Grace? aware I had two ESA animals with documentation from a credible DR that was legitimate. This woman even after presenting the documentation, told me I still needed to pay for a pet deposit and pet rent, which mind you is illegal. But insisted. Kept the $100 holding fee, which should have been refunded considering I was not going to let this con artist rip me off into paying money for something I was not obligated to do. TBH should have sued for discrimination, and pursued legal action. So unless you want to be ripped off and have roaches( current tenants made me aware) do not rent from here. My current rental was less than this place, for a 3 bedroom house non the less, and charged me only one months rent for security on top of accepting my ESA letter and not trying to scam me for more money. Think twice before you try to move here. Oh and the maintenance man is racist, made quite a few inappropriate comments about colored people. yikes.

I just wrapped up staying at these apartments after having the opportunity to move into a home. Grace (The Apartment Manager) and the rest of the Highland Commons Apartment team were so very kind and accommodating at every turn. (Especially Grace). Picking up packages when I was traveling, working with me when times got tough, and supporting my single fatherhood when I knew noone else in town. Also, every neighbor I had was kind and peaceful. No crazyness at all from the community, but also not an overbearing apartment team. I have never had an issue, and would highly recommend this apartment complex. Maintenance was prompt. Lawn always cared for. All other normal services you would expect from an apartment complex. Five stars.
