We at Mento Real Estate Services, Inc try to work with everyone regarding their security deposits. This particular tenant did maintain a good level of cleaning however, they failed to mention that during the move out cleaning we found considerable proof of the tenant having an unauthorized pet. The cleaners found fur, cat litter and cat vomit which unfortunately incurred a fine, which was fully disclosed within their lease. The tenant also failed to mention the broken vent registers, keys that were not turned in or the other damages that they were responsible for. When we spoke with them on the phone they admitted to not changing the air filters out the entire time of their lease which necessitated an additional hvac charge to clean the system. We try to be reasonable but we have to adhere to the lease terms that were signed by all parties involved. We are saddened that they felt the need to leave a one star review when this could have been avoided if they had followed the terms of their lease that they had signed and agreed upon. We did not keep their full deposit just the amount needed to cover the damages and fines. We wish these tenants the best of luck in their future. Respectfully, Mento Real Estate, Inc
