Holiday Inn Express & Suites Havelock NW-New Bern, an IHG Hotel

We came to visit Atlantic Beach, NC. Made our way back to our hotel to check in and also before the indoor ((@ room temp heated) which I know its not heated at all)was going to close. Or why else would we have booked this hotel with an indoor pool?! We got into our room but there seems to be an unpleasant scent. The bathroom is dirty/ugly. The shower stall has a crack from the bottom left corner that was just slightly patched up. The toilet roll holder does not have even the bar to hold the roll. Had to place it under the sink cubby. Bit of a stretch for my children. (Ages all under 7 yrs old) The TV turns on but a message comes on and thats that. Cant switch to any channel or even adjust the volume. Fridge is on but not cold enough to make our drinks cold and does not keep them cold. By then, this morning packing up to leave, our childrens milk was spoiled. As we were all heading down to check out. There was a roach just crawling about. I screeched a bit, the two ladies at the front asked what happen. The one lady went to the back to get some guy, by that time. The roach had already left. Everyones experience is different, thats a given. We will and do not recommend to anyone.

I came in at 1:30 pm to secure a room for 4:30 pm. Stormy was awesome!!! She got me all set up with a room. I came back from my meeting and Stormy greeted me and quickly got me check in. I will definitely come back an again. Stormy you are awesome!!!!!

Housekeeping service was a little non existent. I stayed there 2 days. No one came and get the trash at least. Free water that was a plus.
