Topsail-Wilmington Surf Adventures

My son has received surf lessons from Wilmington Surf Adventures the last two summers. It's because of their instructors my son has a built a passion for surfing!

Cannot recommend Jimmy and his lessons enough! Jimmy is an amazing teacher - he is kind, made me feel extremely comfortable, and made sure I was having fun every step of the way. On top of being an excellent surfer, Jimmy is fun to be around - his easygoing vibe is contagious and he is a true expert on multiple subjects. He taught me how to surf, but also about the weather, the environment, and marine life. On my first day of lessons I had already accomplished more than I was expecting. This was truly a great experience - if you are on the fence, do it!! Thanks, Jimmy!!

We had an excellent time with Jimmy , Ellis, and his other partner. This was our first experience surfing and they were so attentive. We had an excellent time and so much fun. Highly recommended!!

Colin is a great instructor went out of his way to teach me how to surf. Totally professional. Jimmy was helpful getting my lessons set up and given me feedback with photos of me surfing. Both are really good at building confidence!

I cannot say enough about our awesome experience with Jimmy and Wilmington Surf Adventures!! My 6 year old did the surf camp and loved every minute of it! She was surfing waves solo (with a little push) by day 4! All of the instructors were kind, motivating, and knowledgeable (& FUN)! My son already surfs, but will be attending a camp next month to build his skills. I cant wait to see how he improves! We will definitely take advantage of more adventures in the future!
