Journeys is an absolutely HORRIBLE company. The girl that was the "store manager" was not only not trained properly, but also was allowing staff to do whatever they wanted and treat the store like a circus. When that girl left, the 2 that were left in charge, Jess and Appol, tried and tried to make that store something better. The district manager, Brooke, had been telling these girls how proud she was of the improvements that that they were making. The sales were up significantly and they were doing a great job. They were told they would probably be put in permanent management positions. They have worked tirelessly trying to whip that store into shape just to be fired today because the results of an audit were not great. This company sees only numbers and does not see the people who bust their backs trying to make the store better for next to nothing. Yes, this company pays only $8.25 an hour. Journeys is an absolutely DISGRACE! I will personally NEVER shop there again and will make sure nobody I know does!!!

The staff and store managers here are absolutely great. However, every interaction Ive had with anyone in upper management has been nothing short of disappointing. The upper management has extremely high expectations and set store goals so unbelievably out of reach that it puts managers and staff in a lose lose situation, and yet are still expected to win, personal goals as well as store goals are so incredibly high for being located in such a small shopping center, and staff is being not only threatened if goals arent met but continually harassed about sales being lower than expected. ( i wonder why). Store hours have also been cut to an all time low and theres only been two managers for the past couple of months who still have yet to have been properly trained and instead are left in the dark to figure things out as they go and are still facing backlash when things are not done perfect despite never being trained on this part of the job. The district manager has been interviewing and looking for a third manager, for almost a half a year now and has yet to hire someone or train the ones she threw into the role most recently. Staff is extremely overworked and overwhelmed and something needs to change on corporate level. if this store location wants to remain open, corporate is going to need to reevaluate who they leave in charge because CLEARLY what they have now isnt working. The store has not already gone through three sets of managers within the past year, but has been losing crew left and right. There is a problem here and it isnt your store managers and associates.
