ive seen nicer crack houses. this place has been here for 30 years at least, would it kill them to fix it up a little?

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was looking at a two bedroom for myself, a single young woman, and I took my boyfriend (who happens to be black) with me to look at the place to ask questions that I wouldn't think to ask because I haven't moved much and he has also he wanted to make sure it was safe for me. He asked basic questions about if pets are allowed and about putting up a chain lock and a camera door bell to make sure I was safe. The lady was very nice to him and I and was asking if he wanted to see the laundry room and answering all his questions but the next day I received a call saying they were concerned because she said that the "young man" that was with me seemed like he was moving in and not me because he was asking questions about if pets were allowed because he does have a dog but it was a general questions most people ask and saying "we" were gonna put locks up and such (which he said because he was gonna help me put things up and make sure things were safe.) We felt as though they were racist and didn't want my boyfriend coming around their property. Also, they said if HIS dog steps one foot on the property I would be evicted, which was never the plan they just assumed. I wouldn't suggest looking to live here, especially if you're black or any POC or date POC because they will probably act the same way to you that they did to me about my boyfriend.
