    Terrible HOA management company! They take Days to get back to your questions , send unqualified people to do work on the buildings, and charge owners 30,000 a year in elevator maintenance fees. I am actually surprised there has not been a lawsuit against them yet. Dont hesitate to hire an attorney and leave a Better business review! FRAUD We have recently had an increase in HOA fees for a cleaning service for the common areas and I have NEVER seen anyone clean? Where does this money that was allocated for this go?? Maybe instead of encouraging these audits they should be mandatory for all properties that you manage

    The worst, absolute worst. I pay my monthly dues every month and am starting to see random fees that weren't there before. My dues are $231.00 a month, and if my payment is late (usually thr 30th of the month) it's $20. So I log in and see a $478.00 balance which appears to be a random credit (their explanationwhich is far from satisfactory) . $231.00 times 12 is $2,772 a year in what I owe. If I subtract $924 from $2772 I have a balance of $1,848. If my balance was that it'd make sense because they're deducting it from my yearly dues! So where's the random $17 fee when they wanted me to pay online, I was supposed to pay $248.00 this month? Ummmm these people got me cussing! Last month was $239.00, and what I owe is supposed to be $231.00. From now on, I will NOT use the online anything. Registered, certified mail with a return receipt. Remember y'all go to the NC Attorney's Generals Office Consumer Affairs Division with these jokers the first time. I'm so glad I've been trained as a paralegal. I will be documenting everything in writing and encourage you homeowners to do the same. Email it with a read receipt. Because you need to cover yourself. Something ain't right. I don't know what it is, but these guys are shady. And this state does have strong laws to protect homeowners. Utilize them asap; it could be nothing, but if something feels off it usually is. There's better businesses out there, and homeowners deserve better than these guys.

    We have been trying to deal with HOAM's Larry Arnold for 8 months regarding a water / drainage issue at my mother's condo in Burlington. Met in person with Larry over two months ago, and as of today, still no response. Very poor follow up, even when we ask for a written update on the project, we do not receive a phone call or email response. If you are looking for a management company, I would have great concern if this same CMCA is assigned to your neighborhood. Be careful! 2/7/24 - Update: At the time of the writing of this review in 2022, all information was 100% truth. The lack of response by Mr. Arnold and failure to follow-up was the purpose of the review. It is my understanding, that Mr. Arnold is no longer with the company. Eventually, the issues were addressed. There is nothing in this review that is false as claimed in the company response. I understand trying to address your Google rating (as of 2/7/24, Google is 2.7), but please don't ask me to remove a factual post to improve your numbers.

Lindsay, I have personally responded to you when you’ve reached out, and I’ve been managing your community for over a year. HOAM, Inc. does not charge your community for elevator maintenance, as that is a contract your Board has in place to properly maintain all of the elevators in the stacked unit buildings on a monthly basis. I’m sorry you feel the contractors that the Board approves are unqualified, but that’s simply not the case.

George, the annual budgets are mailed to all homeowners. The Association’s financial statements are posted to the portal for all homeowners to see monthly, and these are up to date. I have spoken with your Association Manager and she has indicated that she is sending you the Board list (which will be put on the portal once the Board meets and determines who will be in which positions on the Board). HOAM, Inc. has very strict guidelines in place when it comes to handling an Association’s funds, and I can assure you there is no embezzling that can occur. HOAM, Inc. follows all standard accounting principles and procedures and we always encourage every Association to complete an Audit annually as well. After speaking with your Association Manager, I understand you’ve also been demanding work like pressure washing and additional landscaping work be completed immediately , but those are Board decisions that are currently on hold until the appropriate time of year.

Mr. Poe, you have been provided with copies of the engineering report showing that there are no drainage issues with your mother’s unit. I kindly asked a year ago that you remove your negative review since it is false, and I have personally ensured you had the information you needed.
