Ive been staying at spartan crossing for two years now and I wish I wouldve have stayed elsewhere, without all of the drama. The office staff: some are helpful most are not. A few of them are rather rude as well. They would rather rush you out of the office with incorrect information rather than find out what you actually need. Most times I just preferred reaching out to upper management to get my issues settled. The office staff makes it seem as if you are bothersome, so I tried to stay out of there as much as possible. Maintenance- I cant remember his name but the main black guy and his sons are very nice and helpful. They even helped shovel my car out the snow, after the snowplow person (that the office hired) pushed all the snow behind everyones car. Making it near impossible to back out of the spaces. They should have emergency maintenance- I was expected to live without a properly working toilet and electricity (separate occasions) for the entire weekend. Living space- The living spaces were pretty nice, I got a big bedroom and nice sized bathroom. However there was some sort of large rodent living above my bedroom, I could hear it scratching and nesting. When I approached the office about it seemed as if they didnt believe and took a few days to get someone out there to check. Had persistent conflict with roommates, I suggest finding your own roommates to avoid bad matching. I paid for cable and internet which is included in your rent, however the whole two years I NEVER HAD CABLE in my bedroom. Called office and spectrum multiple times and never received an adequate help. The WiFi was garbage and hardly worked, most of the time it was just easier to use hotspot instead! Overall It just isnt the best place to stay, I suggest staying elsewhere. Once you sign that lease your stuck with it, they will not work with you at all. They only seem concerned with getting their money every month regardless of any situation that may occur. They will not help you find a sublet, and their credit score/income requirements are so unattainable for the typical college student, that you most likely will not find one.

I've lived here for almost a year now. (Two semesters.) Though Sterling Park is a bit pricy, the management is really great here. They're understanding if something comes up and you have to pay your rent a bit late. Everyone is friendly and they know you by your name when you walk in the door to get a package. Good location close to UNCG and drivable to Guilford College. Not loud unless you get in the bulding beside Petra Hookah (804.) The only things I'm taking off for are parking and internet. During our first months here, internet was bad. We called the number and they kept telling us one thing and then the next time we called they told us another. We ended up getting our own internet router and plan after living with spotty connections for about four months. Some buildings seem to be worse than others, and from what I've heard, the third floor seems to have the weakest connection. Also, unless you have a pass (that you have to pay extra for every month), parking is NOT guaranteed in the lot in front of your apartment as there are more cars than spaces. Frequently, (almost every Thursday through Sunday), if you come back to the apartment after about 7pm, you will not have a spot open. You'll have to either park on the road or in another lot. Just make sure it's a Sterling Park lot or you WILL get towed. Aside from those two things, this place isn't bad. They're planning on adding some amenities including a pool within the next year. If you can afford it, I would recommend.

This is my fourth year at Sterling Park and I would recommend this apartment complex to any college students who want a safe, relaxed place to live. The management system has changed over the years but since Burkely (in 2016) has taken over, I have had nothing but positive things to say. Here at sterling park, the office staff is phenomenal. You have 24/7 access in case you have Internet issues, maintenance issues, noise complaints, or safety concerns. The staff is super friendly and Angie is the best! Move in days are planned ahead so it is not as hectic as it used to be. There are resident celebration days each month where they have free food and games. The staff honestly cares about each resident and asks them all the time if there is anything they can do to improve the apartments. This new management also prioritizes studying over partying so it's a great place if you aren't a party animal! Also, they offer renewal specials and discounts for new residents! If you have the opportunity, check Sterling Park out, it will be a wonderful experience. :)
