Basic hotel as expected, but spotlessly clean and every single staff member we ran into was so kind, helpful, and welcoming. Shirley(?) and Charles at breakfast kept everything tidy and well stocked, and made everyone feel welcome.

I cannot overstate how pleasant the staff here made our stay. We are very frequent travelers and often stay at much more expensive properties, but rarely have I seen staff members who seem so genuinely friendly and concerned with creating a welcoming atmosphere. It made the whole experience feel like something from a much more expensive level of accommodations. Two of the most notable folks were working the breakfast area (Shirley and Charles). They greeted every guest, checked frequently to make sure no one needed anything, and kept the whole area immaculately clean and well-stocked. Even the lady bringing up the fresh linens in the elevator in the morning warmly greeted us, made sure we had a good stay, and wished us well on our way out. The culture seems to extend to the care they take to keep the rooms and other facilities clean. My wife's first reaction when we walked into the room was "Is this place brand new?" And the fitness center was similarly pristine. Without hesitation, this will be our default hotel whenever we are in Greensboro from now on.

Stayed for 5 nights during the ACC tournament. We were disappointed to be on the ground level since we booked the room months ago and requested an upper floor. The area is a bit sketchy. Upon arrival, the room was clean. The 2 breakfast area attendants were very nice. We had a terrible time with housekeeping service. We had to repeatedly request it from multiple front desk agents. One agent entered our request into their system but we learned the next day, after no service, that someone had removed the note. Every front desk person seemed to have a different opinion on what the standard housekeeping policy was. We were told the GM would be on site when we checked out (did not happen) and were told at checkout that the GM would call us (did not happen). After submitting a Marriot survey, the GM emailed with a short, canned "sorry we didn't meet your expectation" email which indicated a lack of understanding about how poorly the front desk and housekeeping service had been. We will not stay here again.
