The TW in-store representative I bought a phone from about 1 1/2 years ago seemed to have no idea what she was talking about and sold me a phone that was inadequate for my needs and have struggled with ever since. I just bought a compatible phone outside of TW, due to their limited options & incompetent in-store staff, since I couldn't stand the one TW sold me anymore. I had to figure out on my own what would constitute a compatible phone prior to purchasing it because the online support rep I spoke to recently was unwilling to provide that information. When I tried to activate the new phone, the website confirmed that the phone was compatible but then wanted the SIM #. I contacted online support again to make sure I was providing the correct number. She informed me that the new phone had to already have a SIM card. When I pointed out that I gotten the SIM card for my current phone from TW, she just said that I couldn't transfer that one and reinterated that the new phone had to have a SIM card, as if it came with one even though it was brand new from the box & not bought through a service provider. She could have just offered to sell me a new one as occurred when I first came to TW, but she did not. Luckily, there are several other providers who are more than happy to sell & send me one of their SIM cards. I will have my new SIM card from my new provider in 3 days & will then be cancelling my TW plan. Furthermore, most months I will be paying even less with my new provider than I have been with TW and even when I use an unusual amount of data, I will still only pay the same amount as I have been paying.
