If you are looking for an apartment complex to live in stay far away from anything owned by Southwood Realty. They are liars, corrupt and vindictive.

Please do not move into any property managed by this company. Ive left 2 reviews on their property Rehobeth Pointe. This is a terrible company. Rehobeth Pointe was a great place to live before Southwood took over, and it has grown even more unpleasant under the Moniques management.

Im leaving this review as a potential employee. I had an interview on March 18th. I interviewed with Christa and the Regional manager Brittany at Alamance Reserve. I was told they would move forward the same day. I got my background back the next day. I heard nothing from them about drug testing or next steps for THREE WEEKS. I had to call the background check place physically to even know it came back. Just for them to tell me they are moving on with someone else. Why even waste my time and start running my background. I think it probably was discrimination as I was the only black female that would have been in the office. Thats perfectly fine because if you want to hire someone that will quit on you in less then a month then be my guest. You lost out on a hard working and dedicated employee and I know my worth. Go hire someone for 12 dollars an hour and you will most likely be looking for someone else again. I feel this company is unprofessional and if this is how they handle potential employees I can only imagine what they do to their clients. I would advise caution when dealing with them and I hope no one else has their time wasted like I did. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

We reimburse some family members, for rent to Preserve at Windsor Lake Columbia-South Carolina. Have experienced poor management that isnt equipped to serve this community fairly, equally and with excellence. Lacks complete capacity for the job of dealing with diverse groups of tenants. Multiple complaints made to Southwood with no change. They must have similar values around low standards of treatment because the manager doesnt get corrected. No matter what she says or does. Nothing is done to make tenants feel valued or heard. No improvements to tenant based needs such as workout room, community activities or even safety when things arise. Tenants are told that they are responsible for their own safety. Be careful renting because there are no resources when resolution cant be achieved locally. My family has a time there. Southwood doesnt seem to care, either.
