We were experiencing problems with what we thought was our smoke detector. The problem continued and then we decided to contact our closet Fire Station (#8-71st School Rd). The Battalion Chief/Firefighters to our home and discovered the problem was the battery in the carbon monoxide detector. They replaced batteries and tested it again before departing our home. We also learned it is a good idea to change all batteries at the same time. There are no words to express our gratitude to Fire Station #8 for their dedicated service to our community. To take time out of their busy schedule to assist not only us but so many in the community is beyond words. They are all about SAFETY!
