Dr Peter Kovacs is a lazy neurologist and apparently also a petty human being. Let me explain. When I was diagnosed with Meniere's disease, I had to go on medical leave with the orders that I could not drive, can't climb ladders, and must sit down whenever necessary. Understandable, but as expected, these orders cost me my job at the time, due to it being a primarily driving position. Being out of a job obviously cost me my insurance, so I also had to miss my latest neurologist appointments. At least I THOUGHT it was my condition that cost me my employment. Turns out it was Kovacs lying to Sedgewick behind the scenes that did it. For instance, One of the pieces of paperwork I had to have filled out by him for Sedgewick included information that verified I had Meniere's disease, and the stipulations thereof. Then I found out my job needed another form for their records with similar information, Kovacs threw a fit and refused to fill it out, because it was "too similar to the paperwork he already filled out", even though I had already paid for it and had to wait until the absolute DEADLINE to find out he wasn't going to fill it out (which definitely was not the first time that paperwork took an exuberant amount of time to complete [I know paperwork takes time, but weeks on weeks for simple forms? Come on]), which is his job as a doctor, and tried to resend the SAME paperwork he already filled out to them, which is extra work for his staff compared to just filling out another form that I already paid him to fill out. I still haven't seen the refund from what I paid him for paperwork. After finally finding another job after believing that Sedgewick/my previous employer had essentially let me go, I got a phone call today from Sedgewick stating that I was never let go, but in fact still on record as "on medical leave" while they try to figure out everything, because Kovacs has given them conflicting information and held up the process ALL THIS TIME. I find out NOW that he is apparently telling them that he 'NEVER said I had Meniere's disease' and he 'NEVER told me I couldn't drive', which is absolute BS on multiple levels. If he had never given me this diagnosis, I would've been back at works months ago, he wouldn't of submitted it to my company AND Sedgewick in writing, and my life wouldn't of been flipped turned upside down. Why he would lie for no reason is beyond me. Personally, I believe it's because of my insistence of him completing the paperwork in full and ON TIME (deadlines are necessary to be met, doctor, and I unfortunately don't set the deadlines), and missing an appointment and costing him money (which wouldn't of happened if I still had my insurance). I don't know how much truth there is to my belief on this, but getting snippy because your patients have to ride you to get simple paperwork done isn't our fault. I am grateful I have an understanding of what's wrong with me, but these petty antics are not it. He's messed with my livelihood thanks to all of this, and I cannot understand why, but I figure my best course of action is to let everyone know to avoid his office like the plague, so they don't fall victim to what I went through. By the way, Mr. Kovacs, if you're stating to Sedgewick that I in fact AM able to drive, why would've you yelled at me for driving myself to an appointment when my wife wasn't able to? Why would you explicitly tell me NOT to drive for fear of a vertigo attack if I didn't have a condition that gives constant vertigo attacks? And where the hell is my refund for the paperwork you refused to fill out to help me keep my job?
