Some years ago (1994) I asked for assistance to finding my great grandfather's grave at Memory Gardens in Elizabeth City NC. My g-grandfather's funeral was handled by Twiford's in August 1971. At first, I was treated in a professional manner but later I was "talked down" to in a disparaging manner. During my phone conversations, I was polite in regards to my ancestral search; however, I received unprofessional treatment....like I was a bother. This was my great grandfather ! To top it off, Memory Gardens Cemetery had no record of my g-grandfather. I eventually found his plot and the plots of his brother and wife after diligently searching for his plot .

Met with Presley today for pre-need planning. He explained my options and answered all my questions. The process went smoothly and I would recommend using Presley for pre-need planning.

From the first phone call to the conclusion of my mother's service the staff (especially Kevin Reiver and Beth) gave us exceptional assistance. They were very proficient and compassionate, taking time to listen to our requests and discuss our options. They made a heartbreaking time much easier and I knew from the start that I could trust them faithfully with the arrangements. My mother's service was exactly as she wanted. She asked for it to be a reflecting celebration of her life and not a sad time. Kevin conducted the service perfectly. From all the stories, memories and requests, he made her service lighthearted and very funny at times because that's exactly how my mother was! Plus, she was always running late and he was easily able to work that in the beginning of her service too. Throughout the eulogy, he got several good chuckles and laughs from her family and friends. They all commented on the amazing job that Kevin did. They all thought he actually knew her! She would have definitely given him a high five and a "Atta Boy" for doing such a superb job!
