I love this church. Ive been in attendance of this church on and off for the last 5 years due to school and relocating, but every time I come to Elizabeth City, I attend mass here. ANYONE, regardless of faith or color or culture, who is looking to grow closer to the LORD and grow their faith, you should definitely attend service here one Sunday. Itll be the best decision youll make all week, and possibly your life.

We're tourists staying in Kitty Hawk for a week. After reading reviews for the Catholic Church closest to our location I honestly was sick to my stomach and didn't want to go to Mass at either parish in Outer Banks. We travel a good amount and whenever wehave to leave our home parish sadly it causes us some consternation. Sadly Holy Mass isn't the same all over. I often use a combination of Reverent Mass site, google reviews and Masses live-streamed on YT to help me find the right parish for our family when traveling. I think of it as preparing the fields and leaving the rest to God. He always steers us to where we should go. This Sunday Vigil Mass was another example of the Lord leading us where we should go. Fr Gonzalez was reverent and gave a wonderful homily explaining the Gospel and really showing us through his explanation how Jesus wants us to know accept and stay with him. It was about an hour drive for us but worth the drive. Tabernacle front and center. Stations of the Cross visible. Crucifix of Our Lord front and center. Not told to stand for Holy Communion. Received Our Dear Lord on the tongue, kneeling without scolding. God bless the Holy Family parish.
