I had lost my job and could no longer afford daycare so I registered my son for the Durham Partnership for Children. I was very grateful that they placed him in a Pre-K program BUT the schools on their list arent very good. The teachers at my sons school werent professional at all. They dont really give you an update on how your child is doing, my son repeated some things his teacher would say to the class and they werent very nice things. The teachers would also lose my sons items like his jackets, sheets, blankets. I had to replace things that they lost.. The kids in this program have severe behavioral issues. His behavior at home changed drastically. He was acting like the kids in his class. Throwing fits, not saying nice things, he was never happy. He did not look forward to going to school anymore. I ended up taking him out and he is doing so much better. These kids come from broken homes or neglect it seems. The program itself is great but not something I would ever sign my kid up for again due to the teachers and other children. Luckily, I have found a new job and can place him in a better program.
