My Mother and I were in town for a very serious occasion and my heart was heavy. I had time so walked in for a gel pedi. It was Juneteenth and not only was the salon open to accommodate those who were off work but the vibe was fun and cheerful. My wait was very pleasant, the ambiance reminded me of the beauty shop from the movie Poetic Justice. My pedicure, the conversation and massage chair put me in a happy head space. I am SO grateful for these ladies and the welcoming and warm space they maintain. I will be back!

I searched for a Black owned nail salon in my area. My nail tech did an amazing job on my pedicure! I will be back!!!

The salon was empty when I arrived on a Sunday afternoon with one tech and no other customers. I got a basic gel manicure. The tech who did my nails gave me a great hand massage but did an okay job on the manicure itself. First, I was previously wearing a green gel nail polish that I needed to remove. The tech removed most of the polish but left a few bits across the nail. This would have been okay if I was getting an opaque color, but the nail color I selected was clear and jelly-like. This meant that after my manicure was over, you could see specks of green under a clear nude jelly nail. Additionally, the tech did not seal the tip of my nail, meaning that my nails began to chip after only five days of having the gel manicure on. I don't use my hands frequently for work, so gel manicures normally stay on without chipping for at least two weeks. Lastly, the manicure ended up being more expensive than I anticipated. I overlooked additional charges, but to remove gel nail polish ($3/nail), get a new gel color ($20), and paint simple designs on four nails ($4/each), I ended up paying $70, including tip. The prices were clearly stated, but prior to getting any work done, just be sure to do the math because the cost builds up quickly. Overall, my experience was okay, but I will likely try a different salon in the future. Services: Polish removal, Gel manicures
