I want to express my gratitude to the law firm, especially Stacey Gahagan and Nataleigh Knaak, for their outstanding representation. Samantha, the office manager, ensured a smooth process leading up to our case appeal. Stacey's transparency and dedication stood out during the entire process. She kept us informed and represented us with unwavering commitment and Nataleigh's contributions were supportive and invaluable too. Special thanks to Samantha for efficient administrative management. The team's competence and genuine care exceeded our expectations, resulting in a positive resolution. I highly recommend Stacey Gahagan, Nataleigh Knaak, and the entire firm for anyone in need of a dedicated legal team.

Stacey is wonderful as is her associate Alice! Could not have resolved our school issues without their help!

If you care about your (or your loved one's) educational rights, do not come here. They'll lead you to believe that they have you covered so you'll pay money. Then, they will string you along making you believe that they have your back. Once it comes time to actually do their job, they'll leave you high and dry with the bill even though they did absolutely NOTHING. They only take cases that are served on a silver platter. If the case involves a 1% effort on their part, they will not do it. They also do not believe in their clients. Do yourself a favor, put your money toward a real lawyer who believes and cares about their clients enough to fight until the end. I'm a disabled student on social security and this so-called law firm took advantage of me. You or your loved one deserve more than this.

Not only did we win both of our cases, but these professionals taught us a lot about the law regarding IEPs, the IEP process, establishment of proper and measurable IEP goals, seclusion and restraint, and documentation that should be readily available to us as parents. We interacted with several people during our cases. Stacey Gahagan only brings professionals onto her team. Our team became like a family in that the firm truly cared about us from the moment we requested our first engagement until we completed the last meeting. Every interaction is professional. They read everything that we sent them - and we sent them hundreds of documents to support our claims. They lay out the process for a case from what could be a fairly short case all the way to a hearing. They want you to know and understand what you are embarking on and will not mislead you. If there is something that is out of the scope of the case, they can recommend other attorneys that can partner with them or can take those issues into a separate court. The cost for their services is quite fair. They manage their time to minimize the cost to the client and it is documented in detail. They allow you, as the client, the opportunity to search through your documents for what they require so you do not have to be charged for them to do that for you. This also helps in building rapport, confidence, and trust in each other which is cruicial to this emotional event. And it is an emotional event. You are in a fight for what is best for your child and their future. The importance of this cannot be understated. Because they understand how difficult a time this can be for families, they offer their advice while meeting and in writing (a simple "this is how it works" handout that breaks down the process for you). If you feel more comfortable being in meetings with the school and school system's administration, they will arrange for the meetings to be virtual. There is a lot to be said about being comfortable in your own space during these meetings. We actually never me in a meeting except for a single deposition of an individual. Every other engagement was from our home over Microsoft Teams or Zoom. Every member of their team provides encouragement, support, and manage the expectations. This firm is build on love and compassion. They are truly in this for the future of the children they support. They will fight hard for you and your child(ren). They are very avalable when you need to speak with someone and your concerns are heard and acted upon. We actually told them that we will miss them now that this year-long case has finally come to a close. We feel close to them and they have made our children's educational futures brighter. We cannot provide a more enthusiastic endorsement. They are truly the best. - Aaron and Jessica Hamer

The worst, utmost unprofessional firm. Rude, untrained, and hopeless office manager. The office manager, Samantha, sent us an intake form, then retaliated because we did not fill it in in time for her. Extremely aggressive in tone, unprofessionally, and discriminatory themselves. Before we even had a chance to fill out the intake form, she called in an angry, derogatory tone and said her attorneys could not take the case though I already had a consultation with Ms. Paradis and she had told me in that conversation she will take the case. So in this firm, an office manager calls the shots. Disgusting. This is the worst experience ever with any attorney.

Dear Ms. Tast,We do not have any record of someone by your name having a consultation with our firm but can assure you that Gahagan Paradis is committed to protecting the rights of students in North Carolina and that our Office Manager works to make the consultation process as easy as possible for new and prospective clients who are facing difficult issues regarding their children’s education. Our consultation agreement, which is signed by all new clients prior to speaking with an attorney, states that the consultation is not a guarantee of further representation beyond the initial consultation and our firm reserves the right to decline or rescind a retainer offer for any reason. If you would like to discuss this experience further, I encourage you to contact our firm as we are always willing to discuss any concerns a client may raise, however, since we do not have a record of anyone by your name ever contacting our firm, we are unable to look further into these claims at this time.
