If you are used to Marriott and have a member status walk away. Room was dirty with used coffee cups in Keri. Refrigerator door left open two days in a row to spoil food. Dirty rags left by bed with tv remote on top tv blasting weird show. Creepy. Cleaning starts early morning on 5th floor so dont plan on sleeping in. Woke up to fire alarm testing and vacuum banging on adjacent room with loud talking among room service. Continental breakfast is 17.00 a person and not good. Bed did not feel like Marriott quality. Rooms arent cheap. If had known are Marriott stays did T make a difference, would have stayed at Marriott Tesidence ( which is nice with pool) or Washington Duke for 150. Including breakfast, beautiful grounds, rooms, indoor pool, jacuzzi and golf. Live and learn.

Bar lacked options on food and drinks, but the prices were consistent with what I would expect from a hotel bar in Downtown Boston. Rooms were standard from an AC, nothing special and the beds were comfortable, but did the job for us and was in the wedding block. Location was odd, more of a hospital hotel, but parking was free, so that was a plus.

This is one of the best hotels I've stayed at. Everything was clean and modern looking. I like the signature scent in the lobby, I like the scent of the soaps. It was nice and quiet and was in a great location to Duke University. Only issue is with the training of the staff. This is the second time this year trying to use my Marriott gift card but the person at the front desk didn't know how to use it. Needed up coming off my credit card instead. And it always happens when I'm checking out, so I get a nice surprise at the end of my stay: a bigger than expected bill. Some small problems with the room but nothing major: the toilet paper holder on the wall was loose and the TP kept falling off.

I stayed here for business for three separate weeks. The full-fat Marriott left a lot to be desired, so I kept moving around, trying other hotels. The Aloft was often over my travel allowance per day. The rooms are pretty nice and I especially like the versatility of the shower. The room fridge is perhaps the best I've ever seen and I hate that I didn't get the brand, as I need one for myself. The misty flame in the lobby was so intriguing, I purchased a far smaller version for myself. Some great and okay dining options are within walking distance, so I didn't have to drive anywhere once I parked after work. Walkability: Very walkable. Be careful crossing the streets. A woman on her phone almost flattened me while I was in the cross-walk with a walk sign.
