Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Durham Southpoint

The other night my daughter and I were driving back from Florida to Boston we had her little puppy with us. My daughter booked the reservation online while we were driving. When I got to the hotel I had the dog in my hand and talked to the person checking me in at great length. At no point was I told not to have the dog. The dog does not shes, did not bark once and we were there for 5 hours just to sleep. I didnt complain how dusty the room was or how there was black hair all over the sink and I didnt complain about how gross the breakfast was. We were literally there to just sleep so we could finish our ride. I noticed today the charge on my card was for an extra 100 dollars so I called and nicely asked what the charge was for and the guy said because I had a dog and I asked why was it not explained to me seeing the dog was visible at check in. The guy transferred me to the manager. The manager was immediately was rode and said no way did Deja let you in with a dog, he kept cutting me off and wouldnt let me speak and when I asked him to let me talk he hung up on me. I have disputed the charge with my financial institution and the extra will not be paid. I would never stay at this hotel again and even if the extra charge did not happen I still wouldnt have stayed because the too. Was gross the carpet smelled and it was dirty.

Beautiful lobby, great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms: Clean and good size. Nearby activities: Duke eye office, mall, lots of restaurants Safety: Very safe
