Today was my second time at this location and the second time that I was in the store for more than 10 minutes without being acknowledged. Luckily, if I really want something I can get it from West Elm. Customer service there is excellent.

Crowded with merchandise. Quality items, can be expensive even if there is a sale.

Had the worst experience. Orders 6,000 of furniture etc. Every item was damaged or not correct (i used the design team to place the order) i had the white glove delivery. They left with items inoperable such as drawers not opening. William Sonoma would not roffer credits or deliver new itens, such as the 1,5000 rug from west elm tgat shed so badly you could not walk across it without pieces coming out. No refund and drive to the store to deliver and pick up a replacement. Shipping of products was delayed 3 weeks on original order because they could not find one of the pieces. It was a big deal for me to spend this amount if money to redo a room. Absolutely the wirst customer experience I have had with any company.

I have spent MONEY through Pottery Barn to furnish our new home. My most recent purchase was TWO Flynn floor lamps at $499 ea. YES! Crazy, but they matched the same pendant we purchased for our kitchen. The company does NOT make it known when special sales (like the recent MARCH 31st) sale occured. They claim they do, but they actually withhold that info to get you to spend more. After my large value purchase, I emailed corporate during the sale to ask for a price match as I recieved these 7 days prior. They responded with this reply:
"I welcome the opportunity to assist you today. I hope this email reaches you in good health and spirits.
I am so sorry to hear that your items have gone on sale and completely understand the frustration of your items now being discounted. Unfortunately we do not offer price adjustments as our products' prices are frequently fluctuating throughout the year due to the many different sales and promotional discounts we offer. However, I do a have a few suggestions for you so that you are always in the know regarding our upcoming sales and promotions.
Have you signed up for our promotional email list? We do send out emails with new sales and promotions currently going on, this way you never miss out on a sale.
You are more than welcome to re-buy the items at the sale price and return the originally purchased items if you would like, but return shipping fees will still apply.
My sincere apologies for any disappointment that we cannot make price adjustments, but I hope this information is helpful. Thank you again for reaching out to us. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or if there is anything else that I can assist with."
So, the only option a guest has if they've over spent on a purchase is to bring the items BACK TO THE STORE, return them and buy them at a discount. Then you wait to get your items again. How does this make sense? This is a greedy "gotchya" scheme that I'm not here for and they have LOST a high-value customer if they will not make this right. I've also called the store as this is the store location we visit and was SPOKEN TO by a Julie at Southpoint in Durham, NC. I word it this way because that was her demeanor and at the point she scoffed (laughed) and said something along the lines of "CAN I SPEAK" while I was talking with her. This company not only needs to employ people who enjoy giving excellent customer experience for the high value items they sell but also needs to update its "renaissance era" policies that do not give guests a great customer experience and make them feel cheated. I'm beyond fed up with this company.

Its a love hate relationship- love all the decor items and hate I cant buy them all. Especially now in the fall with Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas items out. The staff is always available if I need them. Throughout the years they have definitely been a help to me.
