Moved to Dunn NC from Texas. Called Dunn Utilities to hook everything up and paid my deposit. They put the wrong address down as our mailing address and the right address as our servicing address. Requested they update our mailing address to reflect correctly but because the statement was from last month they said they could not make the necessary changes. We needed to use that specific statement to obtain a NC license but they again said they could not make any changes. They assured me that a print out from them would be acceptable. Note to those that try, A PRINT OUT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. It must be the actual Statement. It is terrible customer service that an error made by your staff cannot be corrected. It should not matter that you use a 3rd party billing. Many companies do, but a correction to a recent statement showing incorrectly should always be accessable to update and reflect correctly.

I'm new to the area (from Raleigh) and I have had the best experience getting service set up (met everyone in the office -- so friendly) and getting instant help having my water turned off at the street when our water heater in the attic had a meltdown. Not only did the water guy show up two minutes after I called the office, but he even showed me where/how it shuts off and made sure I knew which one was mine and which one was my neighbor's. I love this town!
