Nice little playground in between a coffee place, ice cream shop and restaurant. Prefect for little kids with a shade on top

If I had little kids, I might think different, but this is a grim place. The few jungle gym type items have hideous modern designs, and it's jammed between parking lots. It is used, but Davidson has other, calmer playgrounds, away from crowds and cars. I'd rather see a flat plaza where kids could jump rope, play hopscotch, or talk to eachother. But that's old fashioned. The new thing is to plant a gaudy monstrosity like this in the middle of an already busy area, and say it's for the children, and therefore it's ok to ignore every good design principal.
