Candor & Co. Realty

Do not use this company if you are also working with Lagniappe Builders. I have been waiting to write this review for 18 MONTHS because of the experience with the realtor and the builder (conflict of interest, realtor husband...worked for the builder, he is another story altogether). Firstly, not an experienced realtor. Used terms like "hot water on demand" which is NOT what tankless water heaters are. Secondly, I closed WITHOUT POWER. As in, WITHOUT POWER LINES INSTALLED. But somehow a CO was generated for me to close so I could keep my rate lock. I believe this is at least SOMEWHAT ILLEGAL. Inspection with this company's recommended inspector was also not fully truthful. Many things were found AFTER inspection as "not working as designed". NO POWER. Missing fixtures, missing bulbs, windows without screens, missing door sweeps, non functional pocket doors, broken doorbell, wobbly half wall (major safety concern and not just in one home in this Candor and Co community) and much MUCH more. Think it's just me??? Ask ANY HOMEOWNER in the Lake Mist neighborhood and they'll tell you their own tale of woe and stress throughout this process with realtor and builder. If you are using this company in conjunction with Lagniappe Builders....think again or retain an attorney at the beginning of the process to ensure everything goes to plan with NO FUNNY BUSINESS. I wish I had done that, but I have attorney advisement now, which reveals how convoluted it is with Lagniappe and Candor and Co. and their relationship. I have learned my lesson from moving out of state using this company and I trusted before I knew that they were tied together "in cahoots". LEARN FROM ME with this company and Lagniappe.

Janell is a true real estate professional! She is well versed in the Charlotte market. We enjoyed working with her and found her to be patient, and a great advocate for us. Janell was also very flexible by working around our schedules and seeing properties on our behalf when we were traveling. Highly recommend Janell and Candor & Co.

Had an incredible buying experience with Janell. She constantly went above and beyond. Janell was very knowledgeable, easily accessible, organized and prepared. Probably looked at 9 places and lost on multiple offers. Was very discouraged but Janell never gave up and ended up finding me my dream house. Ended purchasing a new construction townhome with an incredible city view. Was originally there to look at a different unit that had no view when Janell asked if the lots in the front had been sold. It turned out that they werent even being advertised yet and was able to pick out the best lot. She helped me with everything afterwards from design, builder phone calls, walk-throughs, inspections, and asked a ton of questions that I wouldve never thought of. Even helped me with becoming a landlord and renting out my old townhome. You wont be disappointed if you use Janell.

Janelle is an amazing real estate agent. She successfully helped me sell my home and purchase a new construction home in 2020. Because of Janelle offers were made on my home sight unseen and I was under contract in a matter of days. Her knowledge, professionalism and patience are above anything I've experienced. Not only did she guide me along the way, she was available day and night to answer any questions I had. She was an advocate for me when most needed. I would highly recommend Janelle to take care of any realty needs. Janelle is truly a blessing and I will be forever grateful for her.

I don't normaly write reviews for anything online, but Janell is truly an amazing Broker. Janell was so very helpful from beginning to end in finding a wonderful family to take over the reins of my home in Cornelius. She is professional and knowledgeable in her field. I found her to be a pleasure to work with and i will call on her services again and again.
