    I woke up to an email this morning from my mortgage company saying that my insurance was being dropped, this was news to me so I called this office, no answer so then I called my insurance provider and was told I am being dropped due to a tree overhanging my house. 2 things, 1- that tree was cut down in April of 2022 and it is now Feb of 2024. 2- the only contact I have had from Morrisons is a letter that they have acquired my policy from another agency. No emails, no letters, no calls about this tree issue. To add insult to injury I call the provider and they inform me that I am ineligible to ever have insurance with them ever again because my policy has been dropped. Ive had this policy since 2015 with zero issues, now Im ineligible to ever have a policy with them again in this house??

    In July 2019 I contacted Hunter Morrison to provide quotes for professional and general liability insurance for my real estate firm. After researching other companies and receiving other quotes, and after seeing what a poor communicator Hunter is, I decided to go with a different insurance broker to secure a policy. I never authorized Hunter to establish a policy for me, never signed any documentation other than the initial quote/application paperwork (which I signed electronically), and told Hunter verbally that I was going another direction for my insurance needs. A few weeks later, and continuing for at least 4 months, I began receiving invoices for the company Hunter represents. I contacted the company and told them I never signed up for a policy and to stop sending me bills, and that if there was any issue to contact the issuing broker (Hunter). I believe it to be either some type of scam OR a clerical error, so I disregarded future invoices. Eventually I began receiving calls from a collection agency regarding this matter and after contacting them back I was emailed the policy documents the insurance company had forwarded the collection agency. The documents included signatures that are not mine, leading me to believe that someone forged my signature in order to open the policy. I cannot prove who did this, but the fact is that someone signed my name and it was not me. I went to Hunter's office to demand resolution to the issue and while he was not there, he called me back the next day and stated he would take care of it. He sent me an additional document to sign (some sort of termination agreement with the insurance carrier) and I returned it to him the same day. Weeks went by and I heard nothing from Hunter, and only excuses when I contacted him. He kept assuring me he would take care of the matter but he never did. I finally issued an ultimatum for him to take care of the issue one way or another or that I would file complaints everywhere possible. He ignored my final request at which point I contacted the collection agency and insurance company directly and obtained resolution to the matter myself. Upon providing the documentation I had showing the signatures were not mine, the insurance company agreed with me and removed the charges and closed out the collection. This was the responsibility of Hunter and he could have handled it easily in the same amount of time - or less since he is in the business - as I did, which was about 40 minutes.
