Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Udawatta was great. He listened to my concerns and was very knowledgeable. Did an excellent job of explaining everything I wanted information on and laying out a treatment plan I was comfortable with and confidant in. Would absolutely recommend.

I was billed $491 for a consultation just so I could schedule a colonoscopy. We talked for 15 minutes and he didnt even examine me. How do they justify charging that much?

I decided on this practice because it is part of the UNC system. I began researching doctors and I found Dr. Udawatta. I went to see him and explained very thoroughly what was going on with me and how I was having a new onset of symptoms related to this issue. Instead of him looking into it again just to be sure, he completely dismissed what I was saying and proceeded to schedule me for procedures that was absolutely unnecessary because they were what HE thought that I needed. Listening to your patient is a very important and intricate part of being a medical professional. Despite what I told him and what I thought was best for me, he was adamant that he was not going to a least see if anything had changed with my condition. Needless to say, I will not be going back to him.
