Hello Sugar | NoDa - Brazilian Wax & Sugar Salon

My first review was removed so this establishment may be removing reviews. I came here on March 22, 2024 and had Raven. It was a terrible experience to the point where I cancelled my membership the same day. Frankly, it was the worst waxing experience I have ever had. She watched me get undress and get dressed so that felt strange. Its a small room so I get there is not much privacy but she made me feel uncomfortable. She was so fast and rough on the during the actual wax. The entire waxing process took probably less than minutes and there was still a decent amount of hair stubble afterwords. I will never go back to this location. Ill check back in a week to see if this review is removed.

I wasnt comfortable here. I was assigned to Raven and she didnt have the best customer service. She came off very cold and just blankly looked at me and asked flatly if it was my first time. It was. Then she proceeded to let me know to take off my clothes etc etc. So Im naked from the waist down in front of this lady who acted like she didnt really care. I was extremely uncomfortable. Luckily, my hairs werent long enough, to be waxed so she rescheduled me, but later on, I canceled with her and found a new place with much warmer friendlier customer service. I see that sometimes promos arent worth it! I wont be back here. This is a wax place, not a fast food place, and making a client feel comfortable and having good customer service is everything. Especially at a random suite with no receptionist and having to jump through so many hoops just to find the place. Then, waiting on a tiny bench outside a locked door in the hallway while people pass by. Ill never go through that again. I have a much lovelier place to go to now. This isnt a personal attack on Raven, maybe she had a bad day or its just her personality or maybe she wasnt aware. I just need better service and amenities. Good luck to all

Loved my Brazilian wax here! My waxer had such a fun energy which made the experience less painful! :)
