Atrium Health Levine Children's Urgent Care

I am coming to this urgent care with my both kids for years. Every single time doctors and nurses are kind, friendly and very helpful. I am very grateful to all the people who are making this place an urgent care that you can trust and where your kids feel safe. Thank You!

Front desk was so rude we left. Yaniris was rude and downright unwelcoming. Her first question was do you have a reservation? To which I replied no, were visiting from out of town. After that it was pure eye rolling and a condescending attitude. I would never come here to care for my child. They obviously dont understand the word urgent in urgent care. Why would I have a reservation if something came up urgently? This place is a joke it wants to function as a primary care office but be an urgent care. Parents beware youll be waiting forever with your sick child with rude staff and doctors attending you.

Second time I come to this place and they have long time waiting to see my kids for walking.

Something I did not expect to experience at a pediatric urgent care, is advocating for my childs care. We had to come to urgent care due to pcp office being booked up. When roomed I asked the nurse for a strep test, she said she cant as thats provider discretion which I had never come across (lost of strep in our house over the years) when provider came in she tried to tell me he was not showing classic signs of strep, I let her know that none of my kids normally do. Of course, test came back positive. She prescribed an antibiotic my childs pcp had let me know he has shown to be resistant to in the past to keep an eye on if seen by another provider. I let her know that and she argued with me about this until I was able to thankfully find the note on Atrium where he stated it and showed her and instead of an apology or anything it turned into her telling me I would give my child C diff by giving him different antibiotic. I was shocked and continued Im going with pcp recommendations. Never again and I hope no other parent has to deal with this. Awful.
